On Friday, May 13, shortly after midnight, a Tinton Falls police officer located a BMW 3-Series sedan that was reported stolen from Lawrenceville Police.

The BMW fled from the Tinton Falls officer and the pursuit was terminated on the Garden State Parkway due to excessive speed, police said.

The BMW quickly exited the parkway and was located by Holmdel police officers on Crawfords Corner Road. The vehicle again fled from officers and after a brief pursuit, the BMW crashed at the intersection of County Route 520 and Everett Road, police said.

The BMW was occupied by four males, who fled on foot after the crash. After a thorough search, with assistance from the Middletown, Tinton Falls, Red Bank, Colts Neck and Brookdale Police Departments, Holmdel OEM and Monmouth County Park Rangers, two of the four males were located and arrested on the property of Thompson Park.

The two suspects were identified as:

  • Kyree D. Lane Jr. – 18- of Grove Street, Irvington
  • Dupree Turner – 18- of South Clinton Street, East Orange

Lane and Turner were charged with receiving stolen property, resisting arrest and obstruction, police said.

They were both taken to the Monmouth County Correctional Institute for a bail hearing. One minor injury was suffered in the crash, police said.

Two suspects remained at large.
